Outside of my day-to-day job in advertising, I’ve experimented in different mediums such as letterpressing, screen printing, digital illustration and hand lettering. Designing and letterpressing my wedding invites was a rewarding (albeit time consuming) experience—it felt like the ultimate portfolio piece to showcase my design aesthetic and style.
My screenprinted “Detroit” poster features a quote from Elmore Leonard, one of the city’s most famous scribes. Recently, I’ve been exploring digital illustration/typography projects that have taken on a very “Midwest nice” focus. Ope, sorry, didn’t see ya there.
