My foray into designing wedding invitations started with an inquiry from my sister and an urge to try letter pressing. My sister was in the midst planning her wedding in 2013, and being a graphic designer and the only brother to the bride, it was my self-appointed duty to go above and beyond for her wedding invitations.
After taking an intro to letterpress class in Detroit, I attended weekly open studio time at a print shop in Ann Arbor for a few months until I was comfortable enough to man a letterpress machine on my own. While the two color print of my sister’s invites proved to make it a much more time intensive process than I had expected, I was extremely satisfied with the results.
I have designed invitations and save the dates for a few other clients and am available for other invitations in the future. Visit the contact tab to inquire about invitations or other freelance projects.
